Crynodeb o'r Gynrychiolaeth:

‘Radford Semele Parish Council strongly supports the use of Areas of Restraint. The Radford
Semele Neighbourhood plan includes an Area of Separation to prevent coalescence of
Leamington Spa/Whitnash with Radford Semele. These areas are essential to protect the
character of some communities and should be protected against any form of development.’

Site 492 Land at The Greens, South of Alcester Road, SuA, and site 827 South of Alcester Road, SuA: Whilst I support the general AOR concept I strongly object to the review of Stratford designations. This is because a review will inevitably erode designations and lead to more inappropriate development on previously designated sites. The only community benefit of a development on this site will be to the home dwellers. The rest of the community will lose a green field, equestrian AOR and suffer from the development disturbance and ongoing traffic and environmental impact. Developers will exaggerate the community benefit.

Crynodeb o'r Gynrychiolaeth:

The proposals are good in principle, but it is unclear if this will be used as a replacement for the important Green Belt, green infrastructure corridors and Wildbelt designations which should already be included in the Plan and given substantial weight. Green Belts shouldn’t include housing allocations.

Land at The Greens, South of Alcester Road, Stratford upon Avon (492) and South of Alcester Road, Stratford-upon-Avon. (827)

I support the AOR policy in principle but forcefully object to reviewing Stratford designations. This will result in more inappropriate development and erode designations.

There are no demonstrable 'community benefits'. The community will lose a medieval ridge and furrow green field and suffer from development disturbances, ongoing traffic and environmental impact. Development on 492 and 827 will cause harm to the open nature of this area and to the conservation of nature and biodiversity.
Developers will exaggerate the community benefit

I agree with this policy because the greenbelt land of Clopton Quarter in SG18 should be protected as an area of restraint. Its open landscape supports nature conservation, providing vital habitats for wildlife. Additionally, as Grade 3 Best and Most Versatile Agricultural Land, it has the potential for food production, contributing to local and sustainable farming. Preserving this land ensures environmental and agricultural benefits while preventing unnecessary development. Protecting Clopton Quarter aligns with long-term sustainability goals and responsible land use.
