Facilities are adequate but new housing will require more schools, especially primaryschools, more sports facilities and health services for the young and also the ageing population to be adequately cared for.

Your proposals do not identify what new roads, schools, shops, medical facilities etc are proposed if extra building is done. The present system is already choked with traffic!

Not enough detail provided of "WDC thoughts so far" - that comes later!
This council believes that it is inappropriate to choose locations for development without knowledge of what infrastructure changes would be considered essential/appropriate to support such proposals, AND of proposals in neighbouring district council areas that may produce pressures on WDC area infrastructure.

Cannot/ will not maintain existing highways let alone develop a new ones - someone needs to view existing traffic problems in Green Lane plus its tributaries - absolute chaos at (schools ) (2) start and finish

It's all based around the M40 access - yet in peak hours this is already full with long traffic jams. Access to Leamington Station is mentioned, but thats not enough - car park is full by 0800 and all the commuter trains to Birmingham are all full now.

Looking at infrastrucure later is back to front approach. Unless provision of schools, medical services, traffic management etc addressed and necessary improvements included, will continue to actively object.

Not enough work for inhabitants of 4200 new houses in Leamington and Warwick; will therefore commute. Roads already inadequate. Increasing number of cars will be detrimental to local area and Leamington/Warwick where cars will need to use routes across town.

Representation Summary:

No survey of traffic especially at rush hour, term time and rat run likely at Bishops Tachbrook. Four motorway junctions in space of five miles on M40, already creating through traffic in BT. More homes will make it more difficult to exit Technology Park on Gallows Hill and increase congestion at Europa Way roundabout. Traffic already increased due to more shops at Shires Retail Park and will increase when temple complete. Increased wear and tear on bridges. Infrastructure not been planned for new roads, bridges, schools, doctors, dentists, acceptable water pressure/supply, sewerage and drainage to ensure areas will never flood.

Object for the following reasons:
Increased traffic, lack of infrastructure, access to Warwick hospital, increased pollution leading to loss of quality of life, enough new housing built over last 15 years - who will live there?

Object

Representation ID: 3555

Respondent: Mrs Jean Drew

Representation Summary:

Infrastructure:already inadequate
Water supply: poor pressure in Bishops Tachbrook after Warwick Gates built so Severn Trent had to build new pumping station.
Sewers: inadequate for village. Sewage flows into fardens onto Oakley Wood Road when torrential rain falls occur
Surface Drainage: flooding occurs on Oakley Wood Road where is crosses Tach Brook - more houses will increase problem along Tach Brook valley
Roads:
Congestion at peak times will worsen as will pollution. Traffic will increase through Bishops Tachbrook adding to speeding problems
Education: Not enough primary school places now. If more children have to travel to school, traffic will increase. Children at school outside area decreases social development of community.
Services: Police and doctors stretched now and will come under more pressure. Emergency vehicles will have to contend with congested bridges across rivers in Leamington and Warwick
Employment: Will be few jobs for new residents. Why build on green belt land for people to travel elsewhere to work?

Representation ID: 3610

Respondent: Robin and Anne Tole

Representation Summary:

Access: Green Lane and Gretna Road narrow and busy with parked vehicles parked making negotiation difficult. Kings Hill Lane narrow country lane too difficult for large vehicles to negotiate. A46 and surrounding roads around Stoneleigh and traffic for University and Westwood Business Park already problem and additional traffic would cause bottlenecks on A45.
Social Factors: Schools are oversubscribed. Further building needed or more car journeys needed to take them to other Warwickshire schools. No facilities for children such as playgrounds. Bus service very limited. No local community facility, local shops inadequate. Would require even more building to provide these.
