Representation Summary:

Objects to site. The road structure in this area was not built for commercial use, all three roads into the site are subject to height and weight restrictions causing access difficulties. Would result in additional cars on these roads. The field in question reaps a regular harvest and the hedgerows are of considerable value to local wildlife.

Dear Sir,

With regard to the new planning for 100 homes to be built (subject to planning) in Hampton Magna.

My home which looks out over the proposed site has of course encouraged me to mail you my strong objection to this proposal for the following reasons.

1.Access.
The road structure in this area is not and was built for commercial use.
There are 3 roads into the proposed site and all have Height / Weight and Width restrictions on them in one form or another.
The commercial vehicles that would be used in the construction would have access difficulty and would pose a safety issue.
I wonder if the local health and safety committee have been advised of the surrounding infrastructure.

2.100 new homes.
This on todays standards mean conservatively 150 cars per day extra to use existing roads which where not built for such volume.
Again this becomes a safety issue for the young and senior people who already live in this area.

3.The field in question.
From what I have seen this particular field is looked after by a local farmer to a good standard and reaps a regular harvest.
The hedgerows are of considerable value to local wildlife, all manner of birds and bats etc, and have from what I can learn about the area
been doing so for a considerable number of years.

4.My conclusion.
I believe not enough thought or effort has gone into the exploration of this site for the reasons I have outlined above.
Our daily lives would be changed for ever should this proposal ever be passed.
Hampton Magna for the residents is in a peaceful country setting so why is it being allowed to be spoilt.
My question is it because it is needed or is it just down to pure monetary gain that this site is even being considered.

If you so wished then you would be more than welcome to make a visit to our home and see for yourself what this proposal means.
