Village Housing Options and Settlement Boundaries

Representation ID: 62188

Received: 17/01/2014

Respondent: Miss F Coogan

Representation Summary:

-Listed Church and its setting are crucial to the local heritage.
-Fields provide natural drainage.
-This open space has been seen necessary to maintain a 'planning balance' and other sites in the village have been developed to protect it.
-Proposed development would monopolise the view from all directions and be an eyesore.
-1994 Planning Inspector's Report found development of the site to be unacceptable.
-Area between Offchurch Lane/School Lane and Church Lane is congested during peak times, adding another road and widening Church Lane is not viable and impractical.
-Traffic controls would be detrimental to the look of the village.
