Village Housing Options and Settlement Boundaries

Representation ID: 61074

Received: 19/01/2014

Respondent: Mrs Jacqueline Crampton

Representation Summary:

I do not understand how the sites around Warwick and Whitnash are described as non-green belt and thereby suitable for 4,205 houses. They were green belt in earlier Local Plans and recommended strongly for retention by the Local Plan Inspector.
These sites are first class agricultural land with aspects as sensitive as any in the villages. More homes in the villages would not have as destructive an impact as surrounding Warwick with new homes. Growth should be distributed where it can be more incremental to existing settlements.
