Further to all previous comments, I feel it necessary to remind the planners that the water table in this area already presents problems to the residents in Oakridge Road/ Parklands Ave.
During periods of heavy rain fall, water gushes out of the ground in the field behind Rugby Road shops, and becomes a torrential river down Oakridge Road, the poor residents in Parklands Ave sited opposite Oakridge Road, have many times been flooded out because of this natural formation. This has resulted in flood barriers being installed across their driveways by the Council (I assume).
Developing this area will lead to further flooding problems in both Cubbington and Lillington. It would be absolute insanity to progress these plans any further. File them where they deserve to be - the bin.
