Received: 21/03/2010

Respondent: Mr Gareth Jones

Representation Summary:

I object to the development for the following reasons :
1. This is green belt land that is used by many local residents for recreation (Dog walking ,running etc..)
2. Local wild life would undoubtedly suffer
3. Building on this area will only exacerbate the flooding in Cubbington
4. Local schools would not cope with the extra capacity required .
5. Congestion at the windmill hill roundabout is already an issue at peak times and with the primary school in close proximity any additional traffic would create safety issues as well as long delays .

I object to the Cubbington / Glebe farm development for the following reasons :
1. This is green belt land that is used by many local residents for recreation (Dog walking ,running etc..)and is a major contribution for the well being of the Cubbington and Lillington Residents. For a lot of people living in Lillington this would cut them off from their only countryside within walking distance .
2. Local wild life would undoubtedly suffer as a lot of this land is uncultivated habitat which harbours a wide variety of animals and plants .
3. Building on this area will only exacerbate the flooding in Cubbington with all the water flowing straight into the drains instead of being absorbed by the farm land .
4. Local schools would not cope with the extra capacity required .North Leam school already has less places available than it had two years ago due to the new school development .
5. Congestion at the Windmill Hill roundabout is already an issue at peak times and with the primary school in close proximity any additional traffic would create safety issues as well as long delays .
