I note that a supporter of the scheme refer's to Lillington and Cubbington as village's. Lillington does not enjoy village status as Cubbington does. By merging the two, the whole area would become part of Leamington, and village status and identity would be lost forever.
This proposal, and the proposed rail link between London and Birmingham, which would be gouged through the countryside next to Cubbington would decimate the area.
In addition, parts of Lillington have in recent years suffered hooliganism, anti social behaviour, and even murder. This scheme would open the door's for crime to spread into Cubbington.
