These facilities should be supported and enhanced where possible as they help form the backbone of the community and are important in supporting social cohesion. We would support the provision of additional services (eg. a doctors' surgery) as there is a clear need within the village.

I am very concerned about any increase in activity in and around the school. The parents of the children at that school are invariably extremely inconsiderate with there parking both dropping off and picking up from the school. They park anywhere they want. The school, particularly the secretary, has adopted a pontius pilate approach and just keep washing their hands of the problem.
Until this obvious problem is resolved I would object to any further development at the school. It is very easy to support development when you don't have to suffer the consequences

The village shop and post office has proved a major point of support for residents during lockdown, even allowing credit for some elderly people who had others shopping on their behalf. In normal times, the Village Hall has excellent facilities for groups such as the Women's Institute.

I agree that we should be fighting to protect the facilities we have in the village, however they are few and far between and in the retail sector could be seen to be in the grips of a monopoly. I refer to the village store, post office and hairdressers! Surely a more democratic approach to free enterprise could be looked at rather than the passing of facilities from one family to another. I would like to see consideration given to new businesses e.g. fish and chip shop, chemist and a GP service.

Agree, the community facilities listed provide the village and thus the villagers with identity and promote a feeling of community.

The sport and recreational facilities/areas in the village are well utilised and have provided a safe space, particularly during recent months/ lockdown. They must be retained.

Community facilities are the lifeblood of a community. Radford Semele has very few facilities and I support the retaining and enhancement of new needed facilities going forward. Radford Semele is cut off from Leaming Spa and other towns as it has a very poor bus service. Local facilities are therefore even more important for local community.

Existing community facilities are supported by residents. The existence of these reduces the need for reliance on services provided in the nearby towns which would most likely be accessed by private motor transport.
