WDC should look to introduce appropriate design guides for the appropriate refurbishment and repair of buildings and most especially as buildings are made more energy efficient - e.g. replacement windows etc. Consideration should also be given to including recommendations for the use of appropriate materials.

Fully support any plans to protect and maintain historic gardens both as an historic record but also as a living example for gardeners of all ages eg Warwick's Lord Leycester Hospital Victorian garden

Support in principle, a balanced approach is the most appropriate. However, requirements to enhance the historic environment should not stifle economic development. The approach should be commercially minded whilst enhancing and protecting this special environment.
