Open Space
The Parish Council does not support the Preferred Option. The Parish Council believes that in identifying potential development sites, as well as identifying the number of dwellings that will be accommodated, there should be a stipulation of the minimum Open Space allocation as a percentage of area.

The Consortium supports the development of an infrastructure delivery plan but would not want to see the delivery of Phase 1 strategic sites inhibited whilst this is being prepared.

If the words in the document mean we "will work it out later", no comment can be made at this stage. Except that, it is poor planning policy to expand residential of the district by 20% without simultaneously including the open space needs, properly thought through as to level of requirements and integrating it with the residential development so that it happens and is available when occupation begins.

The current approach to open space provision is unworkable.
