Do you agree that the Council has identified all reasonable options for Open Space?

Open Spaces sadly doesn't include the open farmland that we don't have public access to, even though we see it. Although I support the aims with respect to Parks, Gardens, Greens, Playing Fields etc, this seems pointless when we are going to surrender 300-plus hectares of green-fields to the developer's bulldozers.

so why didn't you tell us what the strategic policy approach is? This is a beautiful example of spin and should be submitted to the plain english council so they can reconsider your plain english award. It says absolutely NOTHING.
so not sure you have identified any options let alone all reasonable options! Perhaps you should try again.

No, the existing open space between Heathcote (Warwick Gates) and the village of Bishops Tachbrook should be retained and not used for housing development

12.1 says it all. Open space is important. Greenbelt areas were established in the structure plans in the past. There can be no justification for eroding or eliminating them now.

The need to preserve allotments should be prioritised - in fact more land should be made available as there are waiting lists.

Presume that the rugby pitch on glasshouse lane is earmarked for housing. What about the Wardens?

We would like to see the Preferred Option contain a commitment to providing accessible woodland and to using the Trust's Woodland Access Standard to inform this, particularly as part of green infrastructure delivery.

The quality of life is already being reduced by the reduction of green belt land and open spaces. The preferred options will make this worse for all residents south of the river.

Object to housing figure and the development of land south of Warwick, concentrating most of the development into small area.
Will result in lack of open spaces and real community value to south of Warwick.

Over 300 hectares of farmland is proposed to be concreted! So there is no point in offering Open Spaces.

NO - The options are not confined to how contributions will be sought. There are also options (or should be) about what infrastructure will be needed especially in relation to the new development areas. Without the infrastructure Delivery Plan, it is impossible to reach a reasoned response to any of the proposed development areas and THIS IS A MAJOR WEAKNESS OF THE PREFERRED OPTION CONSULTATION.

It is important that Open Space is properly distributed throughout the district with numerous smaller spaces in urban areas and a few large recreational areas in the countryside but within easy reach of urban dwellers.

People need open, green spaces for mental and physical wellbeing. Those living in village or small town live near to green spaces. For those living in Coventry it is a small but essential pleasure.
