Do you agree with the preferred hierarchy and strategy for each of the District's town and local centres?

Whilst some re-generation is needed within some areas of Leamington mostly south of the river, Any new development will be the typical cheap easy to build eyesores that have ruined many a town centre before.
Most of the buildings in the 3 towns are period buildings with great heritage and character...this is what attracts people to the area. We're not Milton Keynes or Nuneaton where any old building will do. We're talkling about a Historical Spa towns that are aspirational places to come to, live and visit, and NOT the average town centre.

because it is based on biased unproven numbers provided by New Labour to suit own ends in getting relected, to get votes from mass of welfare dependent unemployed/unemployable hangers-on it has created in 11 years of mismanagement.
and insufficient research and consultation at local level.

Kenilworth needs to build on its niche position by developing for example specialist high quality shops - it beggars belief that given the relative affluence of the town there is neither a good kitchen/cook shop nor an antiques shop. It does have a a re-vitalised book shop in Talisman Sq and one can only it hope survives in a very competitive book market and it has two picture framing/picture gallery shops . Some how critical mass needs to be built but not in terms of the usual well known brand names that we can access elsewhere.

The character and appeal of Warwick and Leamington Spa will be ruined by allowing continual expansion. The surrounding villages are put under great pressures by such plans.

Leamington Station area is ripe for new office development, which should be linked into cycling and walking routes along the towpath from Warwick and the surrounding villages to the office and retail jobs and station. The area plan should deliver the identified strategic objectives against an area action plan/site allocation for Leamington centre.
BW would wish preserve the rural nature of the Hatton Flight if so then the movement of development towards Hatton would need to be sympathetic in design, with supportive infrastructure towards Warwick Parkway and the urban centers linking into the canal towpaths for sustainable movement.

Just sounds like your strategy is to have a plan for a strategy, no substance, nothing concrete to agree to. Need to consult with people outside of 3 largest towns.

KENILWORTH - already has a thriving economy. Emphasis needs to be placed on attracting retail/business opportunities to the existing vacant units in the town.

Site allocations must be carefully made to maximise the use of currently empty retail premises. Abolishing newly introduced parking charges would encourage local shoppers to spend longer in town centres supporting local retailers.

I believe that there must be regeneration within our town centres but not at the cost of our countryside. Empty shops make a town look run down of which there are many in all the towns so there should be no need to build more offices. The lack of shoppers has not been helped by the council introducing parking metres on every nearby street. People need to be encouraged to come to the town centres not discouraged.

You seem to be Warwick Dichotomy Council. This is a contradiction to the preferred growth strategy. You don't want traffic moving towards the town centre for one argument and then suggest developing the town centre supports the local economy. You seem to want people to live and work in Warwick Gates and beyond but you don't want them travelling into the town centre, as you are only developing this for the people who do live in the town centre. This objective should be focused on giving Warwick Gates a community something you have denied them for far too long.

I suggest that there could be many other areas that could be far more useful than Kenilworth/Coventry area. Are we being able to become a Warwick District initiatve?
