Supported in general but Warwick already has a problem with traffic which must deter potential visitors. A one way system through the Town might help but cars are not going to go away and this issue must be addressed.

My only concerns are associated with Leamington's shopping development. Large multi-national chains are unlikely to be investing in the immediate future - there are already several potential sites which are unoccupied at present.

No new development should be permitted while large number of existing premises rermain empty. e.g in Leamington the existing ex Lee Longlands site should be redeveloped before any new shopping arcades are permitted

No- 6.14 - Out of town retail parks /parking charges/high cost of public transport = Dozens of empty shops and offices in Leamington Spa. The town is typically quiet- people are shopping elsewhere.

Shires retail park/ parking charges, expensive buses make Leamington very quiet. Lots of empty shops and offices.
People are going to other places to shop because Leamington is unfriendly, expensive and derelict.

Representation Summary:

It is understood that the hierarchy is that Leamington Spa is on its own as a strategic centre and a focus for major growth. Then the town centres of Warwick and Kenilworth fall within the next tier down as 'other town centres' where growth is at a level that meets local needs. Below these town centres there is a network of local centres or shopping parades where growth should meet the day-to-day needs of the area. We fully support this hierarchy to town centres.

You will just choke the centres and will onlly produce a mass of buildings detrimental to the separate identity of Leamington Spa and Warwick.
