Representation Summary:

It appears that the rate of growth of villages was seen as an important factor - but is now to be sacrificed.
Probably - that says it all - Housing provision numbers is the only consideration - where the houses are, whether they are sustainable - the effect on existing communities are all of no importance.

The response form (attached) requires specialist knowledge to comment on the 'soundness' of the plan and as such will have deterred many people. The cynical observer might be misled into thinking that comments are not wanted.

Village Allocations
INSERTED: 2.56 The majority of the village housing allocations are located on the edge of the existing limits to the built up areas of the village in locations which will provide natural extensions, DELETED: Large sites of over 50 dwellings will be brought forward in phases (see Policy H10) so that the growth of the village can take place more slowly and in proportion to the size of the settlement. This will provide a greater opportunity for the new communities to integrate into the life of the village and for housing to meet local needswhich will change over the lifetime of the Plan.
