I wish to object to the inclusion of further housing sites in Barford village in the Plan.
The village has already had substantial housing expansion over the last few years, which has led to strains on the existing infrastructure and increasing levels of traffic and associated pollution, particularly over the early morning and afternoon periods.
Every working person in Barford and the surrounding area has to travel to work and with minimal public transport, this journey is by car.
If new housing is to be built in the area, then logically it should be built closer to areas of employment, both for the environment and the health of villagers.
Personally I have had two vehicles written off by this increased traffic when parked outside my house - it is only a matter of time before someone is killed or seriously injured.
