Proposed Modifications January 2016

Representation ID: 68275

Received: 15/04/2016

Respondent: Jane Boynton

Legally compliant? Yes

Sound? No

Duty to co-operate? Yes

Representation Summary:

The Plan is unsound because the development proposal is on designated Green Belt land which can only be allocated for development under Exceptional Circumstances , which have not been proven.

Highly productive farming land will be lost, with long established wild life habitats.

The Green Belt makes a strong contribution to health and wellbeing, being available for sport and recreational pastimes.

The proposed development is intended to assist housing provision for Coventry, but is not convenient for commuting to Coventry; the commuter routes are already congested at peak times. Unnecessary commuting damages the environment.
