Representation Summary:

The NPPF, 2012, specifies: "... Green Belt boundaries should only be altered in exceptional circumstances". WDC has not demonstrated exceptional circumstances. The rationale, based on Coventry's housing need, is not realistic or sustainable, as people in Coventry will not want to buy homes and commute from North Milverton. There are more sustainable site options closer to Coventry. It would add to congestion and require new transport infrastructure. Valuable farmland, wildlife habitats, and highly valued recreational space for local people would be lost. Park and Ride and railway station are unsustainable and unviable.
