Hatton Park is washed over by the Green Belt. No 'exceptional circumstances', as required by the NPPF to justify such development are identified, nor indeed exist.

The subjective analysis in the Villages Settlement Hierarchy ONLY JUST makes Hatton Park a 'Growth Village' category - therefore 80 homes is excessive. For example if the population was assessed as under 2000 instead of "about 2020", it would not be a Growth Village.

Hatton Park earmarked for 80 homes, but a Housing Needs Survey for the Parish of Hatton carried out in May 2014 demonstrated a need for 12 dwellings, for which there is already sufficient windfall and brownfield sites.

In a survey for the recently prepared Parish Plan 64% opposed any further development in the Parish, and 80% opposed any change to the Green Belt. No meaningful consultation has taken place with the local community by WDC.

WDC itself has confirmed that Hatton Park is responsible for local population growth of 48% since 2001 (even higher for younger people) and that there is a wide range of housing types. Therefore WDC's justification for improving housing stock and encouraging population growth in the younger demographic DOES NOT APPLY for Hatton Park?
