Please consider the site at Oaklands farm for the development of a marina. This would support many of the strategic objectives:
1. regeneration of the Grand Union Canal as a historic asset.
2. Support the local economy by encouraging visitors to Warwick.
3. Support local employment through established businesses along the canal, in Warwick and new business to service the marina
4. Support local engineering expertise in boat building, maintenance and green technologies
5. Provide alternative temporary and mobile housing opportunities, with minimal risk of flooding.
6. Facilitate the housing and leisure activities of the older retired population.
7. Regeneration of communities by providing a hub of interest that supports the canal development.
8. Minimise the amount of road traffic by using the Grand Union canal with easy access to already established cycle and bus routes to access facilities and amenities in Warwick.
