Revised Development Strategy

Representation ID: 55466

Received: 27/06/2013

Respondent: Jon and Rachel Gorrie

Number of people: 2

Representation Summary:

Concerned about the increased population density in the Milverton area, but more especially the parking impact. It is already impossible to park on certain streets and many surrounding streets have a permit scheme in operation making them unavailable too. This scheme, bringing at least another 200 vehicles into the area, will make the situation considerably worse. Would like to be reassured that the current permit scheme would be extended to cover the streets adjacent to the scheme, not just to the area of the scheme itself, so that the parking position is not detrimentally affected.

Further to the Consultation Document I received last week, as a Milverton resident I am concerned about the increased population density in the area, but more especially the parking impact. It is already impossible to park in my own street and all surrounding streets have a permit scheme in operation making them unavailable too. This scheme, bringing at least another 200 vehicles into the area, will make the situation considerably worse. I would like to be reassured that the current permit scheme would be extended to cover the streets adjacent to the scheme, not just to the area of the scheme itself, so that our parking position is not detrimentally affected.

We are referring to the Riverside House and Fire station developments and we would be pleased if you would treat our email ass a representation against these developments.
