The existing blue infrastructure in Henley-in-Arden, including waste and fluvial systems, is outdated, in poor condition, and at times of heavy rainfall is unable to cope with the demand.

Again, the consideration of existing residents and the impacts of new developments needs to be at the heart of any planning decision. The area adjacent to Site C1 is already stretched and any new developments would severely impact. Approving this site without significant additional assessment and significant levels of utilities investment would be tantamount to gross negligence.

The ever increasing burden on water supply affects everyone. Adding more demand results in less reliable supply.

Water pressure is a problem within this area and just connecting to existing supplies does not alleviate future problems including leaks.

Water and waste water infrastructure is struggling to cope with climate change and all improvements must be paid for by users. Requiring new developments to be part of the solution, not add to the problem, is a basic requirement.

Too many housing sites now have unsightly Suds which are never maintained afterwards. It would be better if more use were made of soakaways under private gardens.

The challenge here is developers that design new builds in isolation to water companies who are incentives to deregulate water and waste water connections. Therefore, the council needs to put more pressure on ofwat and water companies to ensure developers follow good design practices.

You need to be very careful about the availability of water supply particularly to the Eastern side of the county as this provides a boundary between two water companies. At this point the water and waste supply is at its thinnest. When you speak with Severn Trent you need to ask question not just about water availability but regional trunk mains which form the artery of the control systems.

Separating grey water, black water and rain water is an excellent idea. I would suggest that new developments should include not only SUDS but reasonably sized water collection facilities for grey/rain water that can be reused for things such as watering garden plants or flushing toilets.

Large scale developments will have a profound effect on the existing sewage treatment works. The existing infrastructure can barely cope, with many cited incidences throughout the country, of raw sewage entering our rivers at times of increased rainfall. The impact on our rivers and wildlife of large developments is not addressed as who will pay for it?

strategic growth site BW is an excellent example of why assessment of each site is required. The A3400 road and fields already flood regularly, in winter this results in increased RTCs particularly in an already notorious ratrun area around Billesley. There is no opportunity for natural runoff and the investment in infrastructure required to support drainage would make the site unattractive to developers.

A local development in Stratford-upon-Avon hasn't been implemented properly and surface water flooding occurs in unsuitable areas.
The cumulative effect of numerous developments has caused flooding to residential areas which date back 100+ years with little flooding impact until now.
All new developments should include swales, SuDS, water recycling within the site before discharging into the wider services.
New technologies exist that include combined utilities and tree pits as part of SuDS solutions - these should be included and the excuse of utilities routes prevent tree planting shouldn't be considered.

Agree but as stated in 7.8, I believe residential or industrial / business sites designated should all have their own water storage reservoirs, solar and energy storage to power and fuel the designated site. Clearly applicable to sites of a certain scale - e.g. 150 houses plus.

There were more than 5 occasions in the last year where water supply to the Hampton Magna area were severely interrupted due to pipe failures. It is obvious that this system is already antiquated and would not be able to supply a larger area of housing/industry.
