-Hampton on the Hill adjoins Hampton Magna and utilises its amenities so it is not clear why there is no option to develop any housing at all in Hampton on the Hill.

-Hampton Magna infrastructure facilities should be considered as shared with Hampton on the Hill as residents from this village use them and there is no natural boundary.

-The scale of proposed growth is disproportionate to the ability of Hampton Magna to absorb this increase and will negatively impact on the semi-rural character of the neighbourhood.

Object to the proposed highway changes:

-The Exhibition (17.12.13) suggested that plans were being considered for an additional road link via Ugly Bridge Road. Object to this as it would use a country road and would act as a second cut through. A new road could 'unlock' all sites in the future. The village was never designed for this.

-Do not support a direct link with the A46. It was too dangerous when Warwick Parkway Station was built and the same applies even more now. Such link could cause gridlock and the use of a village as a cut through.

Object due to the following traffic congestion issues:

-The local school is already undergoing expansions. School run parking is already leads to traffic congestion and safety problems.

-Traffic volumes in the surrounding area have risen considerably over recent years due to Hatton Park, Warwick Chase estates, Warwick Parkway Station and Premier Inn parking.

-The Gateway Project will introduce more traffic and congestion onto the Birmingham Road and the A46, particularly lorries travelling to and from the logistics centre.

-Additional traffic would cause pollution and impact resident's health.

Representation Summary:

-Hampton Magna experiences traffic congestion due to alternating traffic lights single flow system on a narrow winding road. The development will worsen congestion, delays and increase journey times.

-The Gog Brook ponds and ancient hedgerows should be preserved and protected as they are one of the only remaining links to the old monastery.

-Wildlife may be present (i.e. bat roost, protected species frogs).

-The site may have buried armaments at The Copse and buried bodies from the First World War hospital. These have not been considered.

-There is no provision for self-builds in the development.

-100 dwellings are too many.
