Infrastructure and services are lagging behind new build occupations. There will undoubtedly be considerably more development than the 3,000+ houses for which consent has already been granted. I see that a rail connection from the MOD Kineton spur has been mooted. A parkway station within easy reach for Upper Lighthorne would be a boon to residents and reduce reliance on JLR and AML for employment, with easy access to covenytry and Birmingham to the north, and Banbury, Oxford and London to the south.

I am unclear whether or not this proposal was envisaged when the Lighthorne initial development was conceived, however, development to date has fundamentally changed the area and put a huge strain on the infrastructure. This area has had major house building recently. More could be added with a careful look at the facilities available to people and families. Also some businesses other than the car industry. So much building has gone on that this area is practically a new town. New facilities, schools, parks, sport facilities, shops would help to give it an identity.

This will have a detrimental impact on the residential amenity and the visual impact on the area - this is overdeveloping an area with no amenities - there is one shop, and a primary school, but no doctor's surgery, no pub, no church, which is damaging both to the population of the new development, but also those already living in the area.

A financial case needs to be made to government and/or Great British Railways to build the few kilometres needed to reach Jaguar, improve the junction and build a new station. See Chiltern Railway's successful Project Evergreen to Oxford.

The proposed development offers strong transport links, including good road connections, potential for a new Chiltern Line railway station, and HS2 access for faster commuting.
