Infrastructure improvements: Need to improve existing infrastructure - roads and services - schools, hospitals, doctors, shops etc. Costs should be borne by developers. Council must ensure commitments given by developers delivered.
With Warwick Gates, infrastructure already under strain. Traffic/congestion levels risen to almost unacceptable level and shops struggle to meet demand. Approached regarding funding own ambulance on Warwick Gates as hospital ones cannot guarantee safe response time.
Adding people, cars will make these worse - quality of life will suffer. New development of size proposed must include supermarket, petrol station, school, doctors surgery, Post Office community centre.

Schools: Because no school at Warwick Gates, children going to lots of different schools which has lead to increased travelling, congestion and pollution. Another problem is negative effect on sense of community on the estate. Any new development of this size or more would need its own school so these problems are not repeated.

Total lack of detail or alternative options put forward for public consultation. Plan presented without any proposed infrastructure shown or traffic studies on the area's existing infrastructure. The existing infrastructure such as the local schools and hospital are already fully subscribed and at full capacity. The hospital would require significant extension. No capacity for cars at the stations for commuters. * Existing traffic congestion already makes Myton Road impassable - there is no capacity for the additional 8,000 car journeys. resulting detrimental impact on the existing Warwick residents quality of life and adversely impact on local tourism.

Shocked and dismayed to the proposed development because of the existing traffic congestion on Myton Road at peak hours and the traffic congestion in Warwick town centre, where it is already difficult to park. The additional housing would exacerbate this problem. The area cannot accommodate without detrimenting from the attractive environment of both Warwick and Leamington Spa

The new development can only be accessed by using existing congested road network; land available in the Finham area could be served by a new railway station on the Kenilworth line, providing sustainable transport.
Concentrating the vast bulk of the housing in one area will lead to intolerable strain on the roads and services.

One further point, when we hear ministers saying on TV that there are concerns that we may not be able to generate enough energy for our country's needs in the near future and power cuts are a very real possibility, Why are we building more homes at these levels (4,000) and that's just in our area. Where do they think the energy to power these new homes is going to come from?

We live right on Harbury Lane on Cicero Approach. It already takes 15 minutes to get out onto Harbury Lane in the mornings. We don't need any more traffic.
We were also told when we bought the house that over the road was green belt and would never be built on.

How has the government or Warwick Council came up with figure of 8,100 new homes required by 2026 yet have no clue as to number of schools, doctors surgeries, shops etc. required by additional residents?
Little mention of additional roads that would be required to travel from new housing areas into Leamington - Europa Way can't cope as it is! Needs 21st century broadband. In Warwick Gates only receive 1/4 of broadband speed paid for due to thdistance from telephone exchange. Those new houses are even further away! Download speed will be so slow!

The Infrastructure Delivery Plan should be part of a wider implementation plan setting out how different components of the strategy can be delivered, by which organisation and when. In terms of infrastructure, it is important that the necessary commitment to delivery from the relevant organisation is obtained and the evidence of this is provided.

The utilities, services are all stretched to the limit now. With major hospitals only accessible actross congested bridges over the river Avon, fear how long it will take emergency cases to get medical resources they need. Huge increase in traffic arising from at least 8000 new cars in area will lead to increase in pollution and reduce air quality further in area

Live in village because do not want to live on large estate. Like to be rural. To be told that they want to turn our pretty village into something else is diabolical. Have a right to choose how and where to live. Village is big enough and we do not have enough places in school for children that already live here. Have one small shop - no post office - a small doctors surgery - one pub. Could not cope with development. Leave us as we are, to build near this village would completely spoil and anger our community.

Also concerned about schooling, children are already being turned away from their local schools due to insufficient space resulting in children having to be driven miles to schools in other towns, villages. This is due to bad planning, building new homes with no additional facilities to cope with the occupants.

Building new houses is the easy bit. Providing all the required services is the problem - especially as many are already stretched to the limit, (doctors, hospitals, schools, fire and ambulance services, social services, police, electricity, gas, water, sewerage, public transport and new roads in and out of Warwick and Leamington). All these problems need to be addressed before houses are built (can you cope with the extra rubbish and recycled materials). I suspect that nothing will be done until the situation is completely desperate - and then only the bare minimum). Where is the money coming from?

Unfortunately my wife had to be rushed to hospital by ambulance after a stroke 2 days ago and it took 45 minutes - due to heavy traffic - please, please, please take note of the serious traffic problems at certain times of the day - for us it could have been a matter of life or death.

I have further concerns re: schools in the area, especially primary schools. As Warwick Gates residents already struggle to get their children into schools nearby and an increase in houses will only make matters 100 times worse. I don't accept any assurances that new schools will be built as this was the plan for Warwick Gates when in construction and that didn't happen.

For a year we already had to send three of our children to a private school because we couldn't get our youngest in a local school of our choice.
For several years, Mr Hay himself has been forced to commute into London as work in his field here has dried up. Traffic is terrible and finding parking at Leamington Spa station near impossible and expensive at sensible times of the morning.
We already are struggling as a community. It is wrong in every sense of the word to suffocate this area with more homes and people we can't support.
