Leek Wootton Neighbourhood Plan

Representation ID: 70818

Received: 13/10/2017

Respondent: Kenilworth Town Council

Representation Summary:

1. In paragraph 6.5.8 the idea is discussed to make Woodcote Lane one-way northwards as it leaves the village. This would need careful study because of the possible effects on the Rouncil Lane/Warwick Road junction in Kenilworth which has been identified in the Kenilworth Neighbourhood Plan as a junction needing improvement. We note that unlike the proposed one-way system in Hill Wootton which is discussed in paragraph 6.5.9 (which does not concern Kenilworth) the Woodcote Lane scheme is not carried forward to Policy LW12. Does this mean it is no longer being considered?

2. We support the improvement of pedestrian and cycle links with Kenilworth in paragraph 6.5.12 and presume that the County Highways will ensure joined up thinking with the improvements being sought in Kenilworth.

3. We are all aware of the cross-border sports development proposed in the new Local Plan and are surprised that we have not found reference to the necessary co-operation, which is in hand.

4. We note the comments on Sewage and Drainage infrastructure in paragraphs 6.5.18-20 as we are aware that some of the proposed development in Kenilworth will potentially drain into Leek Wottoon parish.

Received: 11/10/2017

Respondent: Place Partnership Limited (PPL)

Agent: GVA

Legally compliant? Not specified

Representation Summary:

Place Partnership Ltd has objected on the following grounds:
-The NDP is not in general conformity with the strategic policies of the development plan
-The NDP relies on an out of date evidence base (LW5)
-There are statements in the NDP that are misleading, particularly in relation to the management of "The Lunch".
-There is no technical evidence to support the identified requirements for Local Highway improvements and developer contributions (Policies LW11 and LW12).
- The NDP compartmentalises development into separate discrete land parcels based on earlier, now abandoned, site allocations from the then emerging Local Plan which does not accord with the policies in the new Warwick District Local Plan 2011-2029.
