The proposal is not compliant because the proposal is not taking into account the effect of traffic into a small road by two schools. The proposal also disregards green belt issues. Damage to environment, trees and effect on wildlife, (deer, horses, hedgehogs, foxes, frogs, newts, badgers, bats, hawks, owls, etc).
Total disregard for The Whitnash brook.
Total disregard for cyclists who use the bridal path. Total disregard for children who choose to learn how to ride a bike in a safe area.
Total disregard for cyclists, walkers and runners who may want to travel upto the historical Fosse Way and view Chesterton Mill in a safe manner.
I have mentioned previously before the trees, bridal path and Whitnash Brook should be protected.
Instead the council are bowing down to builders
who are looking to make a quick buck.
Pure greed, hang your head in shame in what you are doing!

I have been given your contact details to submit an objection to the above proposal. It goes without saying that we have been very disturbed to learn that this proposal has been put forward, and more importantly even being considered.

My family and I live up the dirt track that runs along the Golf Course.

We have already had major development on a field, up to 100 houses very close by which the Council have allowed. The full impact of this development is not even evident yet, suffice to say that up until now there has been an increase in traffic, huge lorries blocking the road, not to mention the amount of damage to the roads. In particular, the track which we drive up is in such disrepair, it is unbelievable. We have constant damage to our tyres from all the pot holes, as well as dents and knicks in the body work of our cars from flying stones etc.

What of the schools? The traffic flow is constant and will undoubtedly increase significantly. Golf Lane will become a major road. One of these days there will be a horrific accident. School spaces are already at their maximum, and although there are plans to build another school near Harbury Lane, how long will this take to be up and running - quite a while I imagine.

Is there any consideration for wildlife? Is there any consideration for the woodland/plants either side of the new proposed development? There are streams, ditches and pools - what effect will there be on these? When my family and I moved into our home, a small deer appeared in our garden. Constantly, we are reminded of our responsibilities to preserve wildlife, so how is allowing this development to be considered giving any thought to this?

The amount of people using this track has already significantly increased over the years. People walk their dogs, and families and couples take leisurely walks into the beautiful countryside. There won't be much left of that if this proposal goes through.

Surely the Council should be looking to build houses on brown field land, as well as derelict sites which can be re-generated and refurbished. Why not consider land towards to the top of Town? It is to be pointed out that Whitnash is a Town within a Town - we are not a City!! It seems to be very clear that property developers are not submitting this proposal out of the goodness of their hearts because they feel there is a genuine requirement for these homes, but purely out of greed!! They were successful in obtaining the Fieldgate Lane site and have expanded their sights further up the Lane, purely because they think they can get it passed.

We have a real concern regarding how many fields in Whitnash are already being developed. It seems very much so that the Council are constantly asked to consider proposals from people and companies that have no desire other than to destroy Whitnash one field at a time.

We feel wholehearedly that this application should be rejected by the Council. Please, preserve Whitnash as it is.
