I support all the suggested options as they focus housing on areas best able to accommodate new development, without encroaching on the Green Belt.

Totally object too. Will infill area between Warwick and Leamington. Number of houses is ridiculous and roads won't be able to cope with extra cars.

No infrastructure to support these houses, lack of school spaces, encroaching on green spaces, traffic levels are already unacceptable in this area during commuting times.

No infrastructure to support such buiding, schools alrady full, traffic in and around the area at peak times is horrendous. Would completely merge Warwick with Leamington.

Representation Summary:

To put 4200 houses along these areas opposite Warwick Gates would put too much of a stranglehold on the area in pollution; too heavy road traffic, schools could not cope with the influx; NHS would not cope. You would cause another town between Warwick and Whitnash. In short it would be a monumental cock up.

I live next to the land west of europa way, I of course object to a new large housing estate on this site.

We should be building on more brown sites as was the publicly endorsed option 5 last year. Not this new preferred plan which destroys this area of restraint.

I came to warwick and paid a high amount of money for the location and quality of life in our great town. Creating these monsterous estates and the impact on sewage, schools and traffic is a disgrace.

Proven by the incompentence of the delegates at the public meeting on Mon17thAug.

The area of Harbury Lane / Whitnash cannot support more housng in terms of roads, schooling (which is currently not sufficient anyway) medical/policing etc. Plus section 10.36 of 50% of affordable housing will be too high. warwick gates residents are against this - a balance yes but not 50%.

Representation Summary:

Leamington and Warwick roads are already congested enough without further development in this area. School places and NHS resourses are also already stretched. Why can't the building and therefore the burdens be shared across the district- rather than adding further to the massive development already seen in this area in the last few years?

Land owned by charities set up to enhance education of children. Selling land for houses = increased pressure of schools, therefore selling of land not justified.

Also see comment for Woodside Farm housing location option.

Respondent: Judith Burdon

Representation Summary:

Object to proposed housing development due to lack of infrastructure in recent housing developments (Warwick Gates). Particularly schooling, which has resulted in children travelling across Warwick at peak times to attend school.

Traffic will worsen if development goes ahead making it more difficult, if forced to take children to a school several miles from their home.

There is insufficient jobs in the district to support the proposed housing development.

Infrastructure in the district will not cope, including Warwick Hospital, and traffic.

Increased risk of flooding.

Current traffic is at a stand still at peak times into Leamington - this will add to the traffic issues. Warwick gates residents can't get kids into local schools now!

Again, my comments under the Employment headiing apply here, plus 1250 homes will generate 6,875 further journeys daily onto Europa Way/ Gallows Hill etc.
Surely Planners and Engineers must know the effects in view of the plea from the Engineers for the public views to overcome congestion when Warwick Gates was developed!!
