Why is WDC obsessed by building on our Greenbelt. A park and ride facility is neither viable or desirable in North Leamington. Who is going to use this facility? The housing development, where a very limited amount of people may have found it useful is no longer in the plan and therefore surely the research gathered previously is now out of date. There is adequate parking in Leamington Spa & numerous spaces which remain vacant on a daily basis. If this is for shoppers, they don't come out in rush hour - if the plan is to reduce traffic. The traffic is bad because of school traffic and work. People travelling from Warwick and Leamington areas will not risk being late for work or school - travelling times will increase for them if they use this service. Park & ride works in Coventry because the traffic system and lack of parking. It works in Stratford because of the tourism & races. Warwick is our tourist town and the main attraction is the beautiful castle (we have more than enough parking for that). Who is this going to benefit? Warwickshire is a beautiful county. Please don't spoil it and waste money on a service which won't be used.
