Representation Summary:

A site on the main Tourist route into the town is not a good location. Even if you screen the site with hedges and trees, coach passengers will see over and as quite often at weekends the traffic is queuing from Longbridge island all the way to the castle people would have the opportunity to see the mess.

I have learned of Warwick District Council's proposal to place a permanent Gypsy site adjacent to the Stratford Road near the Severn Trent sewage works and, whilst on the one hand I think for them to be near the sewage works is appropriate, I do not feel that a site on the main Tourist route into the town is a good location. Even if you screen the site with hedges and trees coach passengers will see over and as quite often at weekends the traffic is queuing from Longbridge island all the way to the castle people would have plenty of opportunity to see the unsightly mess generally associated with travellers.
