I am writing to you as I'm extremely disappointed to hear of a proposed traveller site being built off the Stratford road in Warwick. After our previous experience of illegal travellers who camped on tapping way at Easter and the mess they caused and vandalism, fly tipping and inappropriate behaviour, I am astounded that it could even be considered to place the Travellers on the Main route used by tourists to enter Warwick.
> I am extremely angry that there has been no warning of this before. There has been no communication or signs that this site would be considered. I only found out about this by people who successfully opposed other sites from Barford and the Fosse way.
> This will do nothing but harm the reputation of Warwick for the future. I am aware that there is a shortage of Traveller sites but why on earth Warwick would be considered is beyond me.
> The residents of Chase Meadow Warwick are proud of our town and I feel we have the right to try and protect our community and oppose this proposed site from happening here.
> I hope that I have your full support for our objection to this threat of spoiling a wonderful town.
