I object to the option of Site GT12 on following grounds:
-no GP surgery in Barford. Chase Meadow and Wellesbourne practices not accepting new patients.
-cost of providing safe access to Barford By- pass will be prohibitive. (E.g. Cost of visibility splays, and safe pedestrian access to village across an extremely busy road with very fast moving traffic) There have been many accidents already at the nearby junctions, some of which have been fatal. This site would involve frequent movements of towing and slow- moving vehicles, which would increase the danger.
-there are currently no utilities available at the site.
-important features: the beautiful and historic Sherbourne Church, built by renowned architect Gilbert Scott. Uninterrupted view across fields will be spoilt.
- no visual screening. Will be a scar on the landscape.
- will have detrimental impact on a small rural community and put great pressure on local services eg Barford primary School which is already over- subscribed.
