Representation Summary:

The proposed development at Hatton Park is approximately 10% of existing development and therefore will need to be carefully managed to ensure the open green space character of the estate is maintained. Should include a range of dwelling sizes (although not bungalows) and be acheived by small additions rather than building on mass. There are no employment opportunities in Hatton Park so new residents will need to commute. There is a poor public transport service and the cycle path is not appropriate for increased volume. Birmingham Road is already busy and no improvements are proposed. The estate only has one shop and lacks local amenities such as a GP surgery, dentist and school this will compound traffic problems. Ferncumbe School is too small and will need enlargement.
