Respondent: Mr Christopher Ainslie

Representation Summary:

Site has no local amenities: no schools or GP surgeries within 1.5 miles; no bus stops within a mile of the site. Would place additional pressure on Barford School.

Site access problematic as roads bordering the site have 60 mph speed limits and Brrford Road is an accident blackspot according to WCC records and it is very straight road which encourages speed.

Proximity to busy roads and M40 plus south westerly winds makes site noisy for any residents.

Telephone mast in north eastern corner, which is classed by WHO and International Agency for Research on Cancer as a mobile radiation source so not recommended for residential area.

No utilities (gas, water, sewerage) which would have to be purpose built.

Boarders Warwick Castle Park so threatens archaeological and ecological points of interest. Conservation bodies will want to protect the park at all costs.

Cannot be integrated into landscape as its farmland so very visible. This would impact on the town's tourism.

Site has no amenities and in the middle of a field, which is a former landfill site, so cannot promote peaceful and integrated co-existence.
