I object to the GT11 land being considered for a Gypsy and Traveller site for the following reasons:
* The local facilities such as the surgery are already struggling to cope with demand, which will only get worse with the new housing development currently taking place
* Warwick is a major tourist attraction for the county and the proposed changes could have a serious and detrimental impact on people's perception of the town
* I have lived next to a traveller's site before and whilst I don't wish to tarnish everyone with the same brush most of the petty crime could be traced back to the travellers
* There is no guarantee that if these plans proceed then people will not panic and put their houses up for sale. If enough people do this then house prices will fall, attracting people who previously could not afford to live on the estate. Whilst I have no issues with this in theory in practice this could result in the area deteriorating and it seems a shame that such a nice estate as Chase Meadow could be at future risk of becoming undesirable
