The South-East of this area is close to Oakley Wood and the Crematorium. A site here would lead to increased activity in the Wood and adverse effects on its wildlife and also on the natural environment in the Wood, jeopardizing WDC's own Management Plan for the Wood which was begun only last year. The atmosphere of peace and tranquillity that we have a right to expect in the Crematorium's environs could also be adversely affected.
