Suggest that with other councils and other government bodies seminars are organised for travellers looking for permanent or visiting sites to attend.
At these, they can be educated in broad terms in what is likely to be a suitable site or not.
Hopefully this will ease the huge financial burden that councils have had to suffer due often to regulatory provisions such as drainage, flooding, access, noise, local services, personal eligibility, etc.
Certain issues may be inappropriate such as some green belt matters, etc.
Such as these seminars, dedicated to travellers themselves will also serve to help prevent their own wastage of expenditure on embarking and supporting applications that have no real chance of success.
