Respondent: Offchurch Plan Implementation Group

Representation Summary:

Detailed data on health and general services are available in the Offchurch Plan. In relation to schools, it should be noted that childrent from Offchurch attend 12 different schools, which in some cases involves difficult tranport arrangements for families. There is a danger that Offchurch could be seen on the margins of catchment areas for schools and health etc.

Therefore the accessibility of facilities and services is as important as their size and condition, especially if further services are centralised.

The Offchurch Plan data showed that the village is divided between those who would support low housing growth (Scenario 1) and those who would like some new housing to respond to a need for both the young and the elderly to be able to stay in the village.
