Representation Summary:
Sustainable is a vague new buzz word.
New UK standards on insulation are still far lower than in Scandinavia and Germany.
New buildings need to make max use of "solar gain", BUT not at the expense of neighbouring older properties- which may struggle already to meet energy efficiency levels- any negative impacts should be acknowledged and safe guards put in place.
Incentives for existing older properties to become more energy efficient via grants and lower rate levels.
Provide better advice, telling householders fit cavity wall insulation is not helpful if you live in a pre1930 building with no cavities!
