I agree in principle but similar policies before just result in home with no distinction from each other and no distinction from any other developments around the country from the same building developers. Scandinavia provides beautiful housing, distinct from other developments. Well designed aesthetically pleasing houses does not mean [volume housebuilder] style houses for everyone

The design principles should be much more detailed and area specific. However, there is no point if they are not enforced. This is the case at the moment where volume national house builders produce almost identical estates regardless of the locality.
