GT05 Land at Tachbrook Hill Farm
Representation ID: 56059
Received: 25/07/2013
Respondent: Taylor & Fletcher
Strong objection as site is adjacent to the B4100 highway and M40 motorway.
The B4100 is extremely dangerous with the volume of traffic expanding each year. There is also increased use of the two motorway junctions and more recently Oakley Wood is being promoted as an amenity area for lifestyle living.
Dear Miss Coldicott,
Further to our meetings, telephone conversations and emails, I confirm I emailed the responses submitted by my four clients, which you kindly acknowledged.
Brian and Angela Lewis, Hill Farm, Bishops Tachbrook.
Brian and Angela Smith, Red House Farm, Bishops Tachbrook.
Daniel and Elizabeth Sheehan, Park Barn Farm, Bishops Tachbrook.
Charles and Helen Hammond, Tollgate Poultry Farm, Bishops Tachbrook.
I would like to add an objection to all three sites GT05, GT09 and GT10 collectively as they are all adjacent to the B4100 highway and M40 motorway.
I have been land agent and agricultural surveyor to Messrs. Smith, Lewis and Hammond for over 30 years and more recently to Dan Sheehan. I know the area extremely well and I have dealt with the routing of the National Gas Pipeline, the construction of the M40 motorway and all the ancilliary work to do with motorway and highway construction.
This area of Warwickshire, is intensively farmed for livestock with very little arable area. The roads, particularly the B4100 are extremely dangerous with the volume of traffic expanding each year due to the development at Gaydon for Jaguar, Landrover and Aston Martin. Increased use of the two motorway junctions and more recently Warwick District Council are promoting Oakley Wood as an amenity area for lifestyle living.
We would therefore put forward strong objection to any Gypsy and Traveller Sites within GT05, GT09 and GT10 as the area is simply not appropriate for such sites.
