Important that sustainable access is provided to wider employment and educational opportuntiies through local and regional services.
Important that there is strong correlation between this document and the principles set out in the WMRSS Policies T1-T12, the RTS and the West Midlands Local Transport Plan. In particular, as oulined in Policy T2 of the WMRSS, new development should be focused in areas that are well served by public transport. Encourage developments to be focused in areas with pre-existing public transport; also important that additional provision and improvements are made. Developments should be designed to ensure access to public transport along with the ability for residents to be able to walk and cycle locally.

The Draft Rail Development Plan has identified Kenilworth as possible new station location as part of phase two of NUCKLE which Centro fully supports.
High quality public transport network can assist in sustainable economic growth and regeneration, whilst also ensuring that the West Midlands transport sector contributes to the wider challenges including reducing climate-changing emissions. It is essential that investmentinto the provision of high quality public transport faciliites and services to serve new and existing development is made frm the outset in order to encourage use of more sustainable modes.
