The Strategic Objective in relation to 'maintaining a strong and growing economy' is not sufficient and does not fully reflect the Goverment's intent that the planning system should support economic recovery. It should be reworded as follows: 'To maintain a strong and growing economy through ensuring a range of suitable sites for uses that generate employment uses are available to be developed to meet future demands for jobs. (For the purposes of meeting this objective uses generating employment are not restricted to Class B1/B2/B8 uses).
