The proposed site would double the size of the existing settlement of Henley in Arden. This will further exacerbate the flooding issue experienced in Henley.
Increasing development to the levels suggested will cause major traffic issues and increased pollution levels.
The site will need to have its own shops, schools and doctors. It would in fact become a new settlement that would pose a threat to the historical character and heritage of Henley and will adversely impact the strong community spirit and pride in the Town.
A smaller site tailored specifically for affordable housing would better serve the community.
