There is not the infostructure to sustain this proposal.
There is not enough local employment for this scale of development. Traffic and pollution will be increased as
although there is a bus and train service this would be totally inadequate as both only service a south /north route. Access on to the A3400 is potentially hazardous.
The possibility of flooding would increase as the proposal would drain down to the A3400 which often floods already.

Current drainage system for waste and sewage is outdated and needs replacing as it cannot cope with the climate change and modern living standards. Adding more housing to this will result in more flooding in Henley. Which has suffered badly in last 2years.

Plans to build thousands of Homes around the M40 Junction 16 Corridor including Lapworth, Henley in Arden etc require a Southern access & Northern Exit from the M40 at Junction 16.
Without this traffic on the A3400 will become intolerable.
Infrastructure is essential prior to any building work being started.
Developers will not pay for Highways Infrastructure this has to be Government/County Council responsibility.

Henley already suffers from flooding. Any development will increase run off & escalate these issues. The bridge at the cross roads capacity for water cannot be increased so flooding is more likely.
The A3400 & A4189 are busy roads that struggle with existing vehicle traffic. Adding to the volumes at rush hour will create severe congestion & inconvenience for existing residents.
A development of the scale proposed will drastically alter the town character.

This will more than double the number of houses and population; overwhelm an already overstretched infrastructure, GP, Dentists, schools, roads, sewerage. The run-off alone would be huge; impossible to mitigate, causing further damage, disruption and costs to a town already regularly experiencing flooding. This is unreasonable, unfeasible, and potentially a deterrent.
Henley-in-Arden’s unique historic character and surrounding green landscape makes it a valued place to live and visit. The proposal for 2500 new homes in Henley-in-Arden would put an enormous stress on our current infrastructure, which is not sufficient to support this. We will need more roads, schools, shops, social clubs, medical centres, dentists recycling and disposal services and Police for crime prevention. The A3400 Birmingham-Stratford through Henley is extremely busy, tailing back regularly everyday. Thousands more cars resulting from the proposed settlements will cause gridlock, negatively impacting all neighbouring areas, increasing risk of accidents and noise/air polution.
Vibration from increased traffic risks serious structual damage to Henley's heritage buildings lining the High Street.
Parking is already overwhelmed, further pressure undermines local economy including tourism.
