My main objection to this plan is that Wellesbourne does not have the infrastructure to deal with this massive increase in people and buildings. Also The council already has 25 years worth of housing already approved, why is more needed?! To also add the following points:

I am objecting as a current resident of Hammond Green. We moved to Wellesbourne 2 years ago for the village character, this proposed development will destroy the current village landscape, threatening the community identity.
The Green belt land surrounding the village has a massive impact on quality of life and mental health for our family and for all villagers. Increased traffic congestion through the village and the pollution increase will have a negetive affect on all residents in addition the current infrastructure in the village is under pressure already for the schools and medical facilties.

Land is prime productive agricultural land. No rail connectivity. Use of the B4087 towards the A452 is narrow with dangerous bends at Newbold Pacey. Use of A429 towards Junction 15 of M40 is already congested and proposed gravel pits site at Barford will cause more congestion with heavy lorries. During Saturdays and bank holidays all roads around Wellesbourne are gridlocked due to Wellesbourne market. Lack of educational facilities as all local schools are full. Lack of doctors, dentist etc. Significant harm to the character of the landscape and to the village which has already taken more housing than is necessary.

This area has now been developed to a point where the local infrastructure can barely cope. The local school is oversubscribed, as is the dentist. The doctor is already struggling with the significantly increased local population. Road traffic is already a problem and will be exacerbated by development already planned for the Warwick University HRI facility and Wellesbourne airfield.

I strongly object to the proposed development off Lighthorne Road near Kineton. This plan violates NPPF policies on sustainable development (para 8), protecting rural landscapes (para 174), and overloading local infrastructure (para 104). The roads cannot support the increased traffic, and essential services will be overwhelmed. This scale of development destroys rural character and contradicts the council’s duty to promote balanced, dispersed growth. Building here prioritizes developer profits over community needs and fails to meet sustainability tests. This must be rejected in favor of a better-planned, infrastructure-led approach.

Flooding is becoming a greater risk with climate change. Parking to use the local shops is also becoming a greater problem which means the shops are not used. The village has all ready expanded by a very large percentage with not enough resources.
