The proposed development will lead to merging of our parishes which is at odds with protecting and enhancing our environmental assets a key objective 12 in SWLP plan. The size and scale of the proposal would subsume Bishops Tachbrook and destroy the community and environment surrounding the existing parishes

Whatever happened to the Country Park which was supposed to separate Heathcote and Bishops Tachbrook in the current Local Plan?? Is the 100 yard miserable strip of land aroud the S edge of Heathcote supposed to be it? Surely Heathcote has encroached far enough, too far really, and to develop Bishop's Tachbrook to meet it is completely disrespecting the identity of the ancient settlement. There has already been far too much development and urbanisation in the south of Leamington.

SG10 does not fit with the Local Neighbourhood Plan. Previously, Warwick District Council and Bishops Tachbrook Parish Council have refused planning permission on this land (W/14/1049), due to it's significance in maintaining the gap between Bishops Tachbrook and Whitnash, providing "... an important gateway into the village due to the relationship of the topography, listed buildings, conservation area and the natural environment of fields, hills, trees and St. Chad’s Church on higher ground as was recognised as important by the Inspector at the Public Inquiry in 2006." (para 1.5, REPRESENTATION FROM BISHOP’S TACHBROOK PARISH COUNCIL APPEAL REFERENCE: APP/T3725/W/15/3134611, 2/11/2015).

Deliverability is impossible due to infrastructure deficits, with no clear plans to mitigate traffic congestion or environmental degradation.
Inconsistent with NPPF principles, particularly regarding environmental sustainability and preserving distinct settlement identities i.e., that of Bishop’s Tachbrook village.
Conclusion
SG10 should be reconsidered due to adverse environmental, heritage, and infrastructure impacts. This site contains archeological areas of interest, where a historic windmill and associated works remain. This area is known locally and mapped as Windmill Hill. This area should be protected, for future generations. The topography of the site is important, in it's surroundings.

I support the proposed strategic growth location SG10 because it focuses development on non-greenbelt land, using existing infrastructure rather than requiring costly new roads and services. This approach enables much-needed housing while avoiding damage to rural landscapes, important footpaths, and the area’s heritage. By building where facilities and transport links already exist, SG10 supports sustainable, well-planned growth that fits the local context. It offers a practical way to meet housing needs without harming the environment or quality of life for residents, making it a responsible and balanced option for future development in the area.

SG10 comprises prime farmland, continuously food-producing since 1086 (beans and peas that year). We need that food.
Other sites are more suitable. Especially those ALREADY AGREED elsewhere in S Warwickshire, but not yet fully developed.
SG10 includes 3 historic buildings, the 1650s Bishop of Lichfield's Tithe Barn, a 'New' Farm from early C19th and associated buildings. Their curtilege must be protected by law.
The area is already overdeveloped (4,200 houses since 2015) creating already unacceptable cumulative traffic pressure.
Thriving, documented, wildlife - buzzards, red kites, deer, badgers, newts, - which feed on those fields. They don't deserve to die.

The independent village characteristics of Bishops Tachbrook are under severe threat owing to the constant sprawl of development between the village and Leamington. It is not clear why this location has been selected over and above other options. The loss of prime agricultural land does not justify the proposal. We already experience traffic congestion as a result of previous developments and there are insufficient infrastructure plans to mitigate further population growth. The environmental loss of natural habitats from further development cannot be mitigated satisfactorily by any measure - too much has been lost already.

Stop building sprawling car-dependent suburbia. You are killing people with these decisions. Cars kill people, stop making people have to get in their cars to get to places. Build high density walkable neighbourhoods with active travel infrastructure.
Paint is not cycling infrastructure.

I have several objections regarding the proposed housing developments. Firstly, the environmental impact would increase pollution and noise. There would also be heightened traffic and parking issues. Wellesbourne has already expanded significantly beyond its village status but lacks essential town amenities. Local schools are full and traffic problems are worsening, which would only be exacerbated by new homes. Furthermore, areas are at risk of flooding, and the SUDS scheme has failed to function properly. Lastly, the proposed sites would take over valuable farmland, undermining our self-sufficiency in food production.

If substantial growth is to occur in Stratford, it should occur on the northern side due to better access to Stratford Parkway station, the strategic highway network, and existing employment. A relief road must be positioned on the southern side, linking the A34 with the A46, but proposals around the eastern side are not feasible. Additionally, growth should focus on new settlements near public transport interchanges, including railway stations and access to Birmingham Airport. Options around X1, X2, SG09, 10, 11, G1, SG13, 14, and B1 appear to be the most sensible.

There is scant woodland which you can explore and enjoy in south Warwickshire. This is a lifeline for people living in south Leamington and Wellesbourne. Without this the quality of life in this area will deteriorate.
The only other options for walks are places like Charlecote park or Compton Verny, which both require payment, or private land which were not able to enjoy.
There are plenty of other sites in this area which can be developed without destroyed a cherished area.
While the plans are not to build on Oakley Wood, building right up to it will affect local wildlife and biodiversity, leading to more litter, more danger from traffic, light and air pollution.
This is should be an absolute no and surprised it was ever proposed

Such developments would urbanise these areas, resulting in significant harm to the general character of the landscapes, and have an overall detrimental effect. Wellesbourne has expanded considerably over recent years, without infrastructure to meet the demand on all services in the village. Medical services, dentists and educational facilities are heavily subscribed, and there is an existing and increasing traffic and parking problem in Wellesbourne. This is all too apparent near the school in Mountford Close, where there is no effective traffic management, drivers regularly ignore road markings, park on footways, resort to driving along footways when meeting head on vehicles travelling in the opposite direction, plus use any resident's drive as a turning point. Also, a driver travelling in the opposite direction to the main stream of traffic, opting to reverse back down Mountford Close towards the main school gate/road junction amongst parked and moving traffic ,food waste bins, parents and children making their way to the main school gate. The Newbold Road in Wellesbourne is also often clogged with parked and moving traffic. To introduce more through traffic to Wellesbourne would create even greater congestion, and is untenable.

I strongly object to the proposed development sites X1, SG09, SG10, SG15, SG16, and the additional fields to the east and west of Sherbourne due to their adverse impact on infrastructure, environmental sustainability, village character, and traffic congestion. These proposals contradict the South Warwickshire Local Plan’s vision for sustainable, well-connected, and environmentally responsible development.
