Concerned at extra traffic that any new development would bring both during building work and afterwards. A45, Stoneleigh Road and Green Lane are already congested at peak times and any extra traffic would magnify this. Extra traffic would bring safety issues for pedestrians especially in the area of Finham primary and Finham Park secondary schools. Roads on the other side of Kings Hill are equally busy approaching the university. Would need major new road network to facilitate comfortable access to any new development.
Existing amenities such as doctor's surgeries, post office, local shops, public transport and schools would be inadequate to meet needs of expanded community. Secondary school already oversubscribed.

Re-development of A46/M40 interchange (J15) will provide easier access to both motorway and rest of A46 for those living in north Leamington, Kenilworth and Coventry therefore providing housing to north of Leamington won't mean additional traffic driving through the town as it will be quicker to travel along A46. By locating housing along A46 corridor toward Warwick Parkway, the north of Leamington and up to Coventry, people will be more likely to use the interchange at J15 designed to cope with the volumes of traffic to be experienced.
Utilities are all stretched to limit now. Hospitals only accessible across congested bridges over the river. Emergency cases will take longer to get treatment. Police thinly spread already, especially on Friday/Saturday night.
Huge increase in traffic, air quality reduced. Peak times roads are almost gridlocked. No suggestion that traffic problems will be fixed even for when development is complete.

Schools - many at breaking point. Warwick Gates families have to bus children to Warwick and further afield. Development would require massive school building plan to meet education demands locally. County council has no such plans.

Warwick Gates is living proof that developers can't be trusted to deliver the promised infrastructure - the estate has been built, the houses sold but still no school - a levy would have given the residents a school then whereas now it is still just promises and no action

Current transport links to centre of Coventry and University of Warwick insufficient to cope with volume of traffic during peak hours. More dwellings would reduce transport network to gridlock. Massive expansion of road network needed on Stoneleigh Road, Green Lane, St Martin's Road, Leamington Road and A45.
Current physical state of Coventry roads appalling - situation would worsen.
Schools - Finham Park designed for 1000 pupils, already 1500. New school needed before new housing developed or children will have to be bussed to Kenilworth. Grid lock around existing schools and Stoneleigh Road after 8am in the morning, no options viable.
Type of housing - As would be in Warwick District would 40% affordable apply? Coventry is 25% but wants luxury housing, therefore Coventry standard should apply as residents will be using Coventry infrastructure and there is no shortage of affordable housing in Coventry.
South Coventry short of shops and other local amenities meaning residents have to travel to centre of Coventy or supermarkets. Introduce a new Finham High Street - could this be demanded of developer?
If development goes ahead, would make sense to conduct boundary review and place land within Coventry City.

Object to sites south of Warwick, Leamington and Whitnash:
Sheer volume of housing - causes problems for traffic congestion and schooling. Infrastructure requirements won't be considered until post consultation. Would schools be accepting children from first day house purchased? When families move in, where will children go to school? Primary school availability already huge problem and will only get worse before it gets better even if new schools are built. Problems with roads will be huge particularly at peak times.
Houses should not be built giving access to railway station as South of Warwick Gates, East of Europa Way and Woodside Farm are not particularly close and traffic heading towards town in rush hour and on Saturday morning is horrendous.
Kenilworth should be considered for more housing now that it is to have a railway station. Has this been taken into account?
If south of Harbury Lane continues as a preferred site, could a train station south of Whitnash be considered similar to successful Warwick Parkway?

Will electricity, water and sewerage infrastructure be able to accommodate density of development?
Amenties - schools, shop, surgeries for GP's and dentists
Areas of grass and trees and footfalls and cycle paths
Need to roads of adequate width, footpaths and cyclepaths
Area bounded by three of most congested roads in district - Europa Way, Myton Road and Banbury Road/Gallows Hill. If traffic increased serious thought should be given to ring road to deal with traffic.

Finham is already badly served by road, rail, water, shops, schools, libraries, leisure and community centre infrastructure and proposals for possible park and ride and rail halt along Stoneleigh Road would be inadequate.
Pressure on road and rail infrastructure would lead to widening of beautiful approach to city along Kenilworth Road and to construction of southern relief road. This would irreparably damage lovely countryside that provides green lung for city and would lead to merging of Coventry and Kenilworth.
Local road network would be unable to cope. Record for developers providing infrastructure is not good.
Large numbers of children would require schooling as families move in. Local schools would be unable to cope.
Development may well include playing fields of Finham Park School at a time when there is obesity problem among children.
Flooding concerns and poor drainage along Kings Hill and the southern section of Green Lane - concerns that it will only get worse.

Roads in the area are already overstretched and this is exacerbated by the presence of 2 schools and insufficient off-street parking. Any improvements would impact on existing green and leafy roads. Improvements to the rail network (Centro's plans & the NUCKLE proposals) are unrealistic because of insufficient platform capacity at Coventry; the need to cross a high frequency service at peak times; the level of investment needed and high commuter costs.

Learn by mistakes of the past - large developments bring more traffic and gridlock to surrounding roads during peak times. More houses mean more strain on overloaded services; doctors, dentists and local hospitals and all utilities.
More houses mean more chaos with local schools unable to cope with more pupils.

Ten minute journey takes an hour. Grossly irresponsible to build new houses and businesses in Whitnash/Warwick area. Roads not adequate for volume of traffic. Also consider toxic emmissions from stationary cars.
