Respondent: M R Beaty & Son

Agent: Margetts

Representation Summary:

No access to public highway other than by crossing Middlemarch Business Park.
Close to Coventry Airport and disused sewage works. Noise pollution.
No utilities connected and would be expensive.
Green belt and open in character. Not possible to integrate site into landscape without harming character.
Proposed site forms part of country park in Gateway planning application. Removal would have adverse effect on mitigation measures for the scheme.
NPPF and Planning Policy for Travellers guidance needs to be taken into account.

Representation Summary:

Most unfair to Baginton Village given everything else that is going on eg airport expansion. Surely somewhere else could be chosen. The heart of the village has been taken; don't take its soul too.

It is most unfair to place a traveller site in or near Baginton Village with everything that is going on at the moment. Surely with a county

as big as Warwick somewhere else could be chosen ,With the airport
obtaining planning permission to expand you have taken the heart

out of our village please please do not take the soul as well

Gypsy and Traveller Site Options

Respondent: Walter Bush

Representation Summary:

Site is inappropriate development in the green belt, there are no special circumstances to justify it and it would not constitute sustainable development. Does not meet any of the criteria laid down for gypsy and traveller sites. There is no GP or school in Baginton and poor public transport provision. Recent cases demonstrate that the Secretary of State is committed to protecting the green belt and that the unmet demand for Gypsy and Traveller sites is unlikely to outweigh the harm to constitute very special circumstances. Such development will jeopardise the viability of our business and put employees at risk.
