You can hardly call it `objectively assessed` when it was merely using a statistical package where you chose the data to input yourselves. The process should be transparent and we should have access to all the quantitative and qualitative data that you selected to use for the Cambridge Econometrics LEFM, including the sources.

It is clear that the Council must plan for the future so it is hard to criticise the need to plan. However, it can be criticised for its determination to build on green belt. The strategic review carried out in 2009/10 identified enough locations for homes without going onto green belt. What has changed to make building on green belt now attractive?

The Government's National Planning Policy Framework requires there to be "very special circumstances" for development in the Green Belt. It also requires the harm caused to the Green Belt by the development to be outweighed by the benefit of the development.
